Living history at Planes of Fame

Three World War II veterans will be on hand for the July 2 Planes of Fame Air Museum ‘Living History Flying Day.”

Tuskegee Airman and P-51 pilot Lt. Col. Robert Friend; P-51 Mustang pilot Walter Drake; and B-17 Flying Fortress ball turret gunner Wilbur Richardson will all be part of a speaker panel that will include a question and answer session.

The North American P-51 Mustang will fly, if possible.

The museum gates open at 9 a.m., and the program runs 10 a.m.-noon.

LA County Air Show information

Location, time The Los Angeles County Air Show is March 24-25, 2018, at William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster, Calif. Gates open at 9 a.m. with performances running from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day of the two-day show. Parking information There is ample parking and superb traffic management.
