100th ARW refuels Swiss F-18s

A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker, assigned to the 100th Air Refueling Wing RAF Mildenhall, England, refuels a Swiss air force F-18 Hornet utilizing the hose and drogue system Oct. 20, 2017. During aerial refueling, the drogue basket stabilizes the hose and acts as a funnel to aid insertion of the receiver aircraft’s probe.
