AF recruiter steers effort to bring new engine to local high school

Auto shop students at Quartz Hill High School have a new learning tool courtesy of the Air Force. The Lancaster, Calif., Air Force recruiting office spearheaded the donation of a new 2018 Nissan Leaf engine, which was introduced during a small ceremony at the school May 21.

Dream Chaser undergoes captive carry test at Edwards

Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Dream Chaser underwent a captive carry test at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center, Edwards, Calif., Aug. 30. A Columbia Helicopters Model 234-UT Chinook helicopter carried the Dream Chaser over Edwards for about an hour.
