NMCRS events and programs

• The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) upcoming Budget 4 Baby class has been scheduled for June 20. Please register for these free information sessions where hand-made baby afghans, sweaters, hats and numerous other wonderful donated gifts will be provided to attendees. Even if you’ve had other children, you’ll learn new info that will help your family in the near and long-term. If attendees are interested, budgets or spending plans can be addressed at a later time in individual appointments or budget counseling sessions. Please call to reserve your space as soon as possible. Additional classes are scheduled for July 18, Aug. 15, Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12.

• China Lake’s free uniform closets are available to active duty and retired Navy and Marine personnel. It doesn’t make sense to spend money you don’t need to. NMCRS receives donations weekly. Many of the donations have never been worn (new dress shoes, boots, formal dress uniforms, patches, ribbons, jackets, etc.) Your generous donations of uniforms are appreciated by your fellow service members. No records are maintained on what you take or who comes to NMCRS.

• NMCRS China Lake Emergency Service Office is staffed by volunteers, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and by appointment on other days. Drop-ins are always welcome. However, scheduling an appointment ensures we are able to attend to all of your individual needs and you have the necessary information with you to help us help you. Please call (760) 939-2921 if you have questions or want to schedule an appointment.
