DM 50 picnic scheduled for March 31

The annual DM- 50 will be held this March 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bama Park on D-M. The picnic is a free event for active duty, families, retirees and any guests sponsored on to the base.

At Bama Park there will be a canine demo, fire trucks and police cars static displays, an explosive ordinance disposal demonstration, bounce houses, face painting booths, free food and a beer garden. This year the picnic also includes painters, cotton candy and popcorn booths.

The picnic will also include tours of the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group. The tours take 45-minutes, with one shuttle leaving at 11:30 a.m., two shuttles at 1 pm and one final shuttle at 2:30 p.m.

Parking is available at Heritage Park with shuttles running every half hour from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
