The Base Chapel will host the COPE Roadshow May 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Roadshow is an on-base compact version of the COPE retreats that many are familiar with. It is designed to prepare deploying Airmen and their families for separation as well as foster reintegration through social activities and marriage enrichment education.

The COPE Roadshow is geared primarily toward families, and this time will meet at the Mirage Club.  The agenda will start off with a group session on financial planning followed by sessions on strengthening marriage, seeing deployment from a child’s perspective, and preparations for deployment/reintegration. These sessions will be targeted at helping Airmen develop greater resiliency as they face the challenges of deployment and reintegration as a family. Books related to these various topics, along with other resource materials will also be provided. We will also coordinate the provision of children’s ministry for those couples seeking assistance with their children during the Roadshow event.

There is NO COST to this one-day event, so sign up now through the Chapel!  Point of contact for registration is Ms. Jenet Denney at 228-5411.
