AFA holds 28th annual golf tournament

The Tucson Chapter of the Air Force Association is scheduled to have their 28th annual “scramble golf tournament” at the D-M golf course May 4 at 12:30 p.m. Entry forms are available at the D-M Pro Shop. Profits from this event are used to annually support a wide variety of personal recognition events by all D-M units. For more information, contact James Wheeler at

Gate Closure

The Wilmot Gate will be closed until July 9. 29 Bravo will be open from 5:30 – 9 a.m. during the closure.

OCS to hold Gala

The Davis-Monthan Officers’ Spouses’ Club will host the “Lights, Camera, Auction” themed “A Gift from the Heart” Gala at the Mirage Club April 28. The “A Gift from the Heart” Gala is open to active duty military, dependents as well as retirees. Tickets are available beginning March 19 and are $25 for E-5 and below and $60 for officers and E-6 and above. There will be both a live and silent action with a wide range in auction items. A portion of the proceeds from the Gala go toward the Military Dependent Scholarship. For more information, visit http://www.dmosc.org.

Registration for swim lessons

Registration will be held at the Outdoor Recreational Pool beginning May 28 for summer swim lessons. Payment is due on the first day of class. Each class will be 45 minutes long for a two week period, Tuesday thru Saturday. Class Times: 8-8:45am, 9-9:45 a.m., and 10-10:45 a.m. For more information call the Outdoor Pool at 228-3759 or contact the lifeguard staff at the Indoor Pool at 228-0015.

Society of Military Widows to meet

The Society of Military Widows will meet for business meeting, luncheon and program at noon, the 3rd Saturday of the month at Atria Bell Court Gardens, 6653 E. Carondelet. Please, make your reservations to Virginia Lind Sanborn 721-8091, two weeks prior to the meeting.
