AFA to hold 28th annual golf tournament
The Tucson Chapter of the Air Force Association is scheduled to have their 28th annual â€œscramble golf tournamentâ€ at the D-M golf course May 4 at 12:30 p.m. Entry forms are available at the D-M Pro Shop. Profits from this event are used to annually support a wide variety of personal recognition events by all D-M units. For more information, contact James Wheeler at 790-5899.
The Wilmot Gate will be closed until July 9. 29 Bravo will be open from 5:30 â€“ 9 a.m. during the closure.
Registration for swim lessons
Registration will be held at the Outdoor Recreational Pool beginning May 28 for summer swim lessons. Payment is due on the first day of class. Each class will be 45 minutes long for a two week period, Tuesday thru Saturday. Class Times: 8-8:45am, 9-9:45 a.m., and 10-10:45 a.m. For more information call the Outdoor Pool at 228-3759 or contact the lifeguard staff at the Indoor Pool at 228-0015.
Society of Military Widows to meet
The Society of Military Widows will meet for business meeting, luncheon and program at noon,Â the 3rd Saturday of the month at Atria Bell Court Gardens, 6653 E. Carondelet. Please, make your reservations to Virginia Lind Sanborn 721-8091,Â twoÂ weeks prior to the meeting.
NARFE Association Chapter 55 to meet
The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, Chapter 55, will hold their monthly luncheon meeting May 14, at the China Star Restaurant at 4780 East Grant Road, Tucson (SE corner of Grant and Swan). The luncheon starts at 11 a.m. and is followed by a program and business meeting starting at approximately noon and ending at 1:30 p.m. Current and retired Federal employees, their spouses, guests and visitors are welcome.
