Job title: Air Traffic Controller, Tower

Job description: Provides air traffic control services in the US Air Force’s only limited approach control tower supporting 50,000 annual flight operations, regulating the flow of air traffic in support of 11 flying squadrons.  Coordinates with the FAA to ensure aircraft separation and flight safety in complex airspace bordered by an international airport.

Most rewarding job aspect: Developing apprentice controllers

Goals: To make rank, develop leadership skills, and obtain Bachelor’s degree

Hobbies: Working out, playing guitar, and video games

Favorite performer: Tool (band)

Favorite dish: Macaroni & Cheese

I’m proudest of: 2010 DMAFB Air Traffic Controller of the Year

Person I admire most: My father

Pet peeve: When people are impractical when making decisions or using judgment
