Capt. John Early, vocalist for the Air Force’s 2011 Tops in Blue performance group, performs during a concert at the Tucson Convention Center in Tucson last year. The group is scheduled to return to Tucson and perform at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall June 3.

The Air Force’s premier entertainment group, Tops in Blue, is slated to perform at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall June 3.

The show is free, open to the public and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. It features an all active-duty cast of around 18 vocalists, 10 instrumentalists and seven technicians.

Airmen from D-M will be assisting the troupe with set-up, set movement, ushering and tear-down.

“It’s a great opportunity to get back stage and see a side of the show not many people get to see,” said Diana Davis, D-M Community Center director and point of contact for Tops in Blue volunteers. “You’ll get to meet some of the performers, and the show never disappoints.”

Tops in Blue serves as an expeditionary entertainment unit that provides quality entertainment for the Air Force family, with priority to Air Force personnel stationed worldwide at remote and deployed locations.
