Small Business Planning Workshop

July 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

Thinking about starting your own business? Come learn about small business support programs available through the Small Business Administration (SBA). Mr. Jim Pipper, SBA Veterans Business Development Officer and Mr. Tom Shambo, Small Business Development, will present the 2-hour workshop. Topics Include: Programs & resources for veterans, Starting a business, How to get a business loan from the SBA, The importance of financial preparation, Developing a business plan

Baby Basics

July 18, 10-11:30 a.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

This is a program for military members and their spouses who are expecting a baby and are in their third trimester. Topics include the importance of budgeting, parenting skills, child safety and more. Participants will receive a free baby bundle full of items. To RSVP, call 228-5690.

 

Filing for Divorce in Arizona

July 20, 1-2:30 p.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

Divorce may or may not be the right answer for you. Come to this informational briefing and know what resources are available to you including legal, chaplains, civilian marriage counselors, and the Pima County Conciliation Court (free professional marriage counseling). To RSVP, call 228-5690.

 

Give Parents a Break

July 21, Noon-4 p.m.

Give Parents a Break is for children of eligible parents who are 6 weeks to 5 years old (Finley CDC), and kindergarteners through 12 years of age (School Age Program). Parents can pick up GPAB vouchers at the A&FRC in Bldg 2441. Children must be pre-registered at the CDC or SAP at least 48 hours in advance (Thursday prior, no later than noon). Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance (Friday prior) if you are unable to attend. For more information, call 228-5690.

 

Thrift Shop Moving

The Davis-Monthan Thrift Shop is relocating in August to Bldg. 1226 with a Grand Opening on Saturday, Aug. 4. The Thrift Shop is closed for the month of July, but donations can be dropped off at the current location, Bldg. 4201 until Aug. 4. After Aug. 4, all consignments and donations will be at the new location. If you have any questions, please call the Thrift Shop at 228-2120.

 

EFMP Family & Friends Bowling

July 10, 1-3 p.m. at the D-M Lanes Bowling Center. Cost: $3 per person; includes two games and shoes. Pre-registration requested. To RSVP, call 228-5690.
