Tucson’s youth need your help! Volunteer as a ‘Big’ to help a ‘Little’ reach their fullest potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson (BBBST) matches adults with youth from ages 6-17 in one-to-one mentoring relationships. ‘Bigs’ and ‘Littles’ hang out twice a month, doing activities that they both like. These outings form a friendship that can help the ‘Little’ improve in school, relate better with their parents and change their attitude towards drugs and alcohol.

BBBST will be at the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) on Thurs, Aug. 2 at 2:30 p.m. to talk about their program, their need for mentors and how you can get involved.

BBBST is looking to serve youth from military families; BBBST sees parents as essential to a successful relationship between Bigs and Littles. There will be a second presentation on Aug. 2 at 3:30 p.m. to talk to parents about their program and its benefits for the ‘Littles’. They will also talk about the enrollment process, how they select their ‘Bigs’, their screening process and address any concerns that you may have.

To sign-up for the BBBST presentations, call the A&FRC at 228-5690 or stop by and see us in Bldg. 2441.
