When joined the AF: Sergeant Crews was a prior-service Marine. He served as a Recon Marine for four years at Okinawa, Japan. While stationed there, he went on two West Pacific Marine Expeditionary Unit Floats, one supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom (2006 to 2007).
He joined the Air Force Reserve/306th Rescue Squadron as a Pararescue Trainee in Nov 2011.

Hobbies: Trail running, bouldering and wood-working.
Selection Reasons: Sergeant Crews demonstrates an attitude of excellence. This is visible in everything he does as he completes every task with an attention to detail that surpasses expectations. Recently, he completed a project that kept dangerous flood waters from reaching valuable mission equipment used to save lives. His efforts saved the Air Force and the 306th thousands of dollars in potential water damage and helped maintain the unit’s mission readiness.

Selection Reasons: Airman Warner has a 99.15 average on his last seven fitness assessments and has completed 69 credit hours towards his CCAF degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Further, Airman Warner was hand-picked by the squadron commander as a member of the most productive squadron fitness program on Davis-Monthan. He directly contributed to the reduction of failures in the squadron by 50 percent with only 21 of 660 assigned members remaining on the fitness improvement program. He is also responsible for implementing the squadron’s mock fitness assessment testing, rescuing 12 member’s careers and resulting in a 25% decrease in repeat failures. SrA Warner researched and submitted a $23 thousand dollar equipment upgrade request for the flight-line gym which was granted from the Commander in Chief Installation Excellence Award money. Airman Warner’s can- do attitude also ensured success in the squadrons post Logistics Compliance Assessment Program barbeque which was lauded by the squadron commander.
