Deployed Airmen & Families: Reintegration & Welcome Home Banner Event

Oct. 29, 5-6 p.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

Is your deployed loved one coming home soon? Come out and join us for a Reintegration & Welcome Home Banner making event. Food and drinks will be available along with all supplies. This event will be held the last Monday of each month. Call 228-5690 to register.

 

Love and Logic Parenting Classes

Oct. 25 – Nov. 29, 5-7 p.m. – Borman Elementary School

D-M parents and authorized base visitors are invited to attend free Love and Logic parenting classes at Borman Elementary School on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, from 5-7 p.m. Parenting classes using Love and Logic teaches respect and responsibility and guides kids to own and solve their own problems with stress free techniques. Child care will not be available. To register, please call Martha Damek at 584-4618.

 

Society of Military Widows to meet

The Society of Military Widows will meet for a luncheon at noon the 3rd Saturday of the month. For your reservations, please call Virginia Lind Sanborn at 721-8091, 10 days prior to the meeting

 

PLAYpass Program extended 

The PLAYpass Program has been extended until Dec. 31, 2013. If you have an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2012 on your PLAYpass card and are eligible for an extension, please stop by A&FRC to have your card updated (PLAYpass cards expire 90 after return of member). The PLAYpass program provides eligible families the opportunity to participate in Force Support Squadron programs for free or at reduced costs. Please bring by your deployment or remote orders to the A&FRC to get your PLAYpass. For more information, call 228-5690.

 

PLAYpass available at the Airman & Family Readiness Center 

The PLAYpass Program provides deployed-affected Single Airmen and Air Force families respite from the challenges of deployment. Single Airmen returning from deployment and families of deployed members can receive special discounts and rewards to help make their deployment easier. PLAYpass offers discount cards that provide members and eligible family members the opportunity to participate in Force Support Squadron programs (e.g., Outdoor Recreation, Youth Programs, Bowling, Golf) for free or at a reduced cost. Each card is valued in excess of $500. PLAYpass cards may be picked up at the Airman & Family Readiness Center, Bldg 2441, from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mon-Fri. FREE Employment & Computer Skills Classes 

Thanks to a grant from the Air Force Aid Society, the Airman & Family Readiness Center has partnered with Pima Community College to offer free employment and computer skills classes to Spouses of Active Duty Air Force personnel assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB.
