Cookie Crunch

Davis-Monthan’s Annual Cookie Crunch is under way!  Help spread holiday cheer to our Airmen by ringing a “taste of home” to their dormitories.  Cookie collection and package will be at the Mirage club on Dec. 3, 6:30 a.m. -5 p.m., and Dec. 4, 6:30 – 10 a.m.  Cookies can be placed in disposable containers or zip lock baggies for drop off.  An additional drop off box will be located at the Visitor’s Center at the Craycroft gate.  If you would like to volunteer, contact Kristy Crites at batspouse43@yahoo.com or 520-906-5904.

Reintegration & Welcome Home Banner Event

Nov. 26, 5-6:30 p.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

Is your deployed loved one coming home soon? Come out and join us for a Reintegration & Welcome Home Banner making event. Food and drinks will be available along with all supplies. This event will be held the last Monday of each month. Call 228-5690 to register.

EFMP Family Arts & Crafts Night

Nov. 29, 5-6:30 p.m. – Airman & Family Readiness Center

Marketing Yourself for a Second Career 

Dec. 11, 8:30-11 a.m. – Mirage Club

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is hosting a seminar entitled “Marketing Yourself for a Second Career,” on Dec. 11, from 8:30-11 a.m. in the Mirage Club.  Col Dan Koslov, USAF (Ret) of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), will be presenting this seminar for interested Officers, Senior NCOs and spouses.

“Marketing Yourself for a Second Career” covers subjects such as:

* Perceptions civilian employers have of military personnel.

* Resumes, cover letters, broadcast letters, etc.

* How employers read your resume.

* Networking the hidden job market.

* Preparing for and conducting a successful interview.

* Salary negotiations and benefit packages.
