Job title: Assistant Chief of Operations
Job description: I supervise a shift of 25 civilian and military firefighters. Additionally, I provide command and control at all emergencies which include structural, rescue/medical, HazMat, and aircraft firefighting emergencies.
Most rewarding job aspect:
Interacting with the people that we assist every day. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the results of your work.
Goals: My most immediate personal goal is making master sergeant the next promotion cycle.
Hobbies: Running (middle and long distance) and Crossfit.
Favorite Performer: Ho’aikane; a Hawaii based group.
Favorite dish: Seafood (fish, crab, lobster)
I’m proudest of: The excellent job that our flight does day in and day out while working a demanding schedule. (72 hour work week)
Best Asset: I believe that I am even tempered which allows me to deal with emergency situations in an effective manner.
Person I admire most: My Father.
Pet Peeve: Tardiness. When you are late you waste everyone’s time and detract from your unit’s ability to complete the mission.
What I like most about D-M: The weather. It is beautiful the majority of the year.
