Selection Reasons: Airman Chavez acquired Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency certification by attending a 40 hour system security course to become a trained security classified network asset. Chavez audited the squadron’s Compass Call simulator and scrutinized 140K transactions, achieving due diligence for the network security. Chavez inventoried two classified networks and accounted for 360 items that ensured resource availability for 180 personnel. Lastly, Chavez volunteered his time to improve the grounds of a local learning center in the Tucson district.
