Selection Reasons:  

Staff Sergeant Keith J. Burgess has distinguished himself as an EC-130 H Compass Call Flight Engineer in the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron both at home station and while deployed with a total of 793 flight hours in the Compass Call.  He regularly reviews aircraft records, performs pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections of $162M EC-130H aircraft.  Sergeant Burgess supports the Squadron Commander with administration of 160 personnel by managing unit manpower and personnel actions, records, rosters and documents. He recently took charge and revamped the unit’s awards and decorations process, which relieved the backlog of squadron awards. In his off duty time, Sergeant Burgess earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology through Idaho’s Metropolitan Research University, Boise State.  He also donates to the Cure Search association that supports Children’s Cancer funds and supports children’s cancer research.
