Selection Reasons: Tech. Sgt. Trudeau is one of Civil Engineering’s most stellar NCO’s. He led his shop to the 355 FW Team of the 2nd quarter of 2013. He also spearheaded the creation of a squadron 5/6 organization, building it from scratch. Through the 5/6 organization, he was able to establish a highly successful lunch and learn program, coordinating with the Squadron Top 3 to provide mentorship in such areas as promotion, leadership, and progressive discipline. The 5/6 organization is also providing a much needed voice of issues and suggestions to Squadron leadership. Sergeant Trudeau also goes above and beyond in his educational pursuits. He recently completed the Senior Enlisted Joint PME course to better enhance his understanding of our joint military service partners who he has and will deploy with in the future. Sergeant Trudeau also took it upon himself to complete the Civilian Personnel Management Course to better his relations and understanding of his civilian counterparts who he works with on a daily basis.

Duty Title: Fuels Distribution Operator

Hometown: Merced, CA
Hobbies: Playing sports, mainly softball/baseball, and spending time with my wife and two kids.
Selection Reasons: Airman 1st Class Burch arrived to the 355 LRS already a Sharp troop as he was a BMT Honor Graduate and recipient of the Ace Award in Tech School for scoring 100% on all Block Tests.

Since his arrival to Davis-Monthan, Airman Burch was the President of the Fuels Advisory Council which raises money and plans morale and welfare activities for the Fuels Flight. He stepped up and was a Designated Driver for the POL Holiday Party. In the midst of being President of the Council he continuously strived for excellence and received a 91% on his 5-level CDC EOC test. Drake’s ethic set the bar high for his peers as he was also selected to hot refuel the National Airborne Operations Center and single-handedly issued 9K gallons of jet fuel in April and May 2013. He issued 205K gallons of JP-8 to 108 aircraft earning the Pumper of the Month award in June 2013. He supported the world’s largest Combat Search and Rescue exercise by issuing 57K gallons of jet fuel to 55 aircraft. Airman Burch’s leadership in selected him to give a Safety brief to the entire squadron during Commanders Call. He was rightfully named the Airman of the Quarter for April to June 2013.

  • A1C Burch not only performed exceptionally at the flight level, he participated in the squadron Haunted House and intramural softball team. Not only did he play softball for the squadron, he umpired 5 games for the wing intramural softball season.
  • Amongst the accomplishments previously mentioned, A1C Burch was involved with the Tucson Meals on Wheels program and delivered 8 meals to local citizens. He continues to pursue his off duty education and is taking classes with Ashford University towards his CCAF.
