Retiree’s Will Night

Dec. 12, 4 – 7 p.m.

The legal office will be offering a Retiree Wills Night on Dec. 12, from 4 – 7 p.m. Retiree Will Nights are held twice a year as a way to provide estate planning to retirees. To make an appointment please call 520-228-4912.

Retired Officers’ Spouses Club

Dec. 12, 11 a.m. – Skyline Country Club

The Tucson Retired Officers’ Spouses Club will hold its Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 12 at Skyline Country Club, 5200 E. St. Andrews Dr., located off Swan Rd., one mile north of Sunrise Dr. This year’s theme is “Handmade Holidays,” and members are encouraged to bring a handmade holiday decoration to display, or tell us about your favorite holiday recipe or custom.  Social hour begins at 11 a.m., with lunch served at noon. The price of the luncheon is $24, cash only please. Reservations with entrée choice are due by noon Monday, Dec. 9 by calling Virginia Gearhart, 290-8286 or Lynn Shelley, 298-9112. Any spouse or widow of a retired military officer is invited to join the Tucson ROSC. There are no membership dues. Stay and Play

Wednesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. – Desert Dove Chapel

This is a new program for parents and children ages birth to five years. Features open play-time, parent-child activities, circle time, parenting support and education. Registration is not required. For more information, call 321-1500.

Love & Logic Parenting Classes

Would you like to learn skills for raising responsible children? Love & Logic makes parenting fun rather than frantic. FREE Love & Logic classes are being offered at Borman Elementary School on D-M. Classes will run from Nov. 6 – Dec. 19, from 3-5 p.m. Free child care will be available for ages 3 and up (to 5th grade). Please call 520-584-4618 to sign up.

Money on the Road Program

Money on the Road is an Airman & Family Readiness program designed to bring financial readiness/counseling TO YOUR unit! Our counselors can teach classes and be available for one-on-one counseling or to answer general questions. We tailor our visit to your unit specific needs. You provide a temporary location for us and we provide efficient financial counseling services. If your unit is interested in our Money on the Road program, please call us at 228-5690.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas on D-M and in the local community. Volunteering is an excellent way to become involved with the community, increase mentorship skills and enhance career growth.
