National Active and Retired Federal Employees Ch. 55 to meet

Jan. 13, 11 a.m. – U-Like Buffet

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, Chapter 55, will hold their monthly luncheon meeting on January 13, 2014, at the U-Like Buffet, 330 South Wilmot Road, Tucson, AZ 85711.  The luncheon starts at 11 a.m. and ends about 1:30 p.m.  There will be a presentation followed by a business meeting. Current and retired Federal employees, their spouses, guests and visitors are welcome. Attendees pay for their lunch, usually less than $10. For further information please call 751-2017.

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Ch. 1874 to meet

Jan. 20, 11:30 a.m. – Golden Corral

Current and retired Federal employees, spouses, guests, and visitors are invited to join NARFE Chapter 1874 at the Golden Corral Restaurant, 6865 N. Thornydale Dr.  The January meeting will be on Monday, Jan. 20. (Senior menu $7.95)  Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m.  The meeting will be noon-1p.m.  The speaker will be a member of the Rose Society of Tucson, who will talk about growing roses in Tucson and how to prune the brushes.  Contact Rosie King at 520-400-3456 for more information.

Retired Officers’ Spouses Club

Feb. 6, 11 a.m. – The Hilton Hotel

The Tucson Retired Officers’ Spouses Club will hold its monthly luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 6 at The Hilton Hotel, 7600 E. Broadway Blvd., located on the south side of Broadway, between Kolb Rd. and Pantano Rd. Social hour begins at 11 a.m., with lunch served at noon. Guest speaker is Bernice Anderson, from the Tucson Rodeo Parade and Museum Committee. Western wear is encouraged. The price of the luncheon is $22, cash only please. Society of Military Widows to meet

Jan. 18, noon – Mirage Club

The Society of Military Widows will meet for their monthly luncheon and meeting, at noon, Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Mirage at D.M. Air Force Base. On that day we will collect baby gifts for the annual showers. For your reservations, please, call Kay Spargur 574-6628 at least 10 days prior to the date of the luncheon

Stay and Play

Wednesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. – Desert Dove Chapel

This is a new program for parents and children ages birth to five years. Features open play-time, parent-child activities, circle time, parenting support and education. Registration is not required. For more information, call 321-1500.

Money on the Road Program

Money on the Road is an Airman & Family Readiness program designed to bring financial readiness/counseling TO YOUR unit! Our counselors can teach classes and be available for one-on-one counseling or to answer general questions. We tailor our visit to your unit specific needs. You provide a temporary location for us and we provide efficient financial counseling services. If your unit is interested in our Money on the Road program, please call us at 228-5690.
