Selection Reasons:  

Staff Sgt. Johnson led the Intelligence shop as the sole member of continuity while both the OIC and airman were deployed overseas. He was the squadron security manager for over 115 airmen, led the pre-deployment spin-up for 23 Guardian Angel members, developed five squadron current intel briefs/threat of the day briefs for 115 airmen, and developed three continuous training briefs for Group Intel Airmen. He also wrote 17 Squadron URINT publications for weekly unclass intel dissemination. In addition, he co-wrote three scenarios for Team Commander/Team Leader/Element Leader upgrade and certifications.

- In the last eleven months, SSgt Johnson has completed 18 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice completing such classes as: Ethical Behavior in Criminal Justice, White Collar Crimes, Advanced Technical Writing, Issues in Criminal Justice etc. and will complete his degree next month. In addition he has attended professional development courses such as Get it Write, Irregular Warfare and is slated to attend SV-80 SERE training next month.
