Selection Reasons:  

-  Senior Amn. Fitch was among the first on scene at the 747 crash at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. He was able to cordon the area and evacuate personnel preventing further injuries. Additionally, while deployed to Bagram Fitch helped save the life of a 14-year old boy with an explosive projectile in his body. Meanwhile back at DMAFB, he rapidly employed the barrier system to prevent a gate runner unauthorized access to the base. Furthermore, he responded to high risk traffic stop of an impaired driver driving under the influence.

- Fitch recently completed his CCAF and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security/Emergency Services Management. Fitch has volunteered over 20 hours of off duty time distributing meals at a local homeless shelter. Fitch is a superior Defender and in recognition of his dedication to both the local community the United States Air Force he was coined by the USAF Chief of Staff! Great work Senior Amn. Fitch!
