The first annual Pat’s Run Troop Run at D-M scheduled for April 26

The ruck/walk/run will begin at the Benko Fitness Center and will be approximately 4.2 miles long. This event can be enjoyed by all family members! Cost of adults is $20 and children under 12 is $5. Deadline to register for this event is March 31. The Pat’s Run benefits the Pat Tillman Foundation. The Pat Tillman Foundation was founded in 2004. It invests in military veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships. To date, the foundation has invested in 290 military scholarships totaling 4.6 million dollars. A shirt will be provided upon registration. All registrants will be notified of time and location to pick up their shirts. Leaders Are Readers Book Club

Are you looking for some mentorship and development? Do you like to read? Then Leaders are Readers is for you! Our purpose is to enhance the professional growth of all Desert Lighting Team members through reading and mentoring. Leaders are Readers discuss leadership novels from the CSAF Reading List as well as other insightful novels. We meet twice a month and have meaningful discussions on key leadership concepts and experiences. All ranks are welcomed! This is a great opportunity to hear what your superiors and subordinates have to say. To improve yourself please join us at one of our sessions! We would love to hear from you! DMOSC to hold auctions

Lookin’ for a foot stompin’, buckle bustin’ good time? Saddle up and ride on over to DMAFB Mirage Club. The Davis Monthan Officer’s Spouses Club (DMOSC) will hold their Annual Wild, Wild West Round-Up Scholarship/Charity Silent and Live Auctions.  It will take place on Saturday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m.

It’s time to strap on your spurs, dust off your cowboy boots and hats, belly up to the no host bar and support this charity effort.  There are “Wanted Outlaws” that need to be rounded up and thrown in jail also.  Bail starts at $5. OSC Scholarship Applications are Available

Every year the DMOSC offers thousands of dollars in scholarships for military dependents who are high school seniors preparing to attend college and who are spouses starting or continuing their college education. The Scholarship Applications are Now Available at http://www.dmosc.org/scholarships.html Deadline for application is March 14.

Stay and Play

Wednesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. – Youth Center instruction room

This is a new program for parents and children ages birth to five years. Features open play-time, parent-child activities, circle time, parenting support and education. Registration is not required. For more information, call 321-1500.

Money on the Road Program

Money on the Road is an Airman & Family Readiness program designed to bring financial readiness/counseling TO YOUR unit! Our counselors can teach classes and be available for one-on-one counseling or to answer general questions. We tailor our visit to your unit specific needs. You provide a temporary location for us and we provide efficient financial counseling services. If your unit is interested in our Money on the Road program, please call us at 228-5690.

Volunteering is an excellent way to become involved with the community, increase mentorship skills and enhance career growth.
