Welcome to the 2014 Thunder and Lightning over Arizona!

Entrance Procedures: 

• Anyone with a military ID, to include active duty, dependent, and reserve may park at the 355th Medical Group or the Mirage Club and ride free shuttles to the event entrance. Pick-up locations are at the Mirage Club and Medical Clinic from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 12 and 13.

• Base access passes will not be accepted to ride these shuttles.

• General public members may enter the base starting at 9 a.m. through the Swan and Craycroft Gates and are highly encouraged to car pool.

• Handicap parking is only accessible through the Craycroft Gate.

• Those with base IDs and base access passes may enter through the Wilmot Gate and enter the event area at the Plane-on-a-Stick, located at the corner of First Street and Yuma; however they should be aware that parking near this entrance is reserved for open house players.

• Everyone is subject to search and will proceed through security checkpoints and search areas.

• Exact checkpoint procedures will vary due to security posture and location of entry points.

• Davis-Monthan Security Forces has the right to turn anyone away who fails to consent to a search.

These items MAY be brought on D-M to the Open House: 

• Carts for physically challenged/handicapped visitors

• Service animals for physically challenged visitors

• One clear plastic (no glass) water bottle with water per guest

• Strollers

• Diaper bags

• Baby food, baby water, formula, baby milk (no glass containers

These items are PROHIBITED: 

• Political activity/demonstrations to include associated paraphernalia

• Coolers

• Outside food, beverages, or alcohol (exception see allowed items)

• Large backpacks, purses, or camera bags (larger than18X24in)

• Camelbacks

• Paint

• Balloons, kites, sports equipment (footballs, kites, etc)

• Illegal drugs

• Weapons (to include but not limited to: brass knuckles, all size knives, Leatherman type tools, mace, pepper spray, box cutters, nunchucks and all firearms)

• Military uniforms worn by non-military members

• Bicycles, scooters, skates, skateboards, go-carts

• Pets (exception for service animals, pets will not be left unattended in the parking area or inside a parked vehicle)

• Umbrellas, folding canopies

• Chairs and folding chairs

55th Rescue Squadron returns home
