355th FW to hold active shooter training exercise
July 29, 7 p.m.
The 355th Fighter Wing will be conducting an active shooter training exercise starting at approximately 7 p.m. local, Tuesday, July 29. Multiple facilities and locations on base will be affected, but the overall impact to normal operations will be minimal for those who are not participating. Live ammunition will NOT be carried by any exercise participants. Any questions should be directed to the 355th FW Public Affairs office at 228-3406.
Society of Military Widows to meet
July 18, noon – Mirage Club
The Ladies of the Society of Military Widows will have their monthly luncheon at noon, Saturday, July 18 at The Mirage on D-M Air Force Base. For information and your reservations, please call 574-6628 at least 10 days prior to the luncheon date.
NARFE chapter 1874 to meet
July 21, 11:30 a.m. – Golden Corral
Current and retired Federal employees, spouses, guests, and visitors are invited to join NARFE Chapter 1874 at the Golden Corral Restaurant, 6865 N. Thornydale Drive. The July meeting will be Monday, July 21. (Senior menu $7.95). Presentation by Jennifer McMenamin on home staging for selling a home. Wednesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. – Youth Center instruction room
This is a new program for parents and children ages birth to five years. Features open play-time, parent-child activities, circle time, parenting support and education. Registration is not required. For more information, call 321-1500.
Money on the Road Program
Money on the Road is an Airman & Family Readiness program designed to bring financial readiness/counseling TO YOUR unit! Our counselors can teach classes and be available for one-on-one counseling or to answer general questions. We tailor our visit to your unit specific needs. You provide a temporary location for us and we provide efficient financial counseling services. If your unit is interested in our Money on the Road program, please call us at 228-5690.
