Lt. Gen. Kowalski visits Edwards, 419th FLTS

Lt. Gen. James Kowalski (left), commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, speaks to Brig. Gen. Robert C. During his visit here May 2, General Kowalski visited the 419th Flight Test Squadron and the F-35 Integrated Test Force. Air Force Global Strike Command, activated Aug. 7, 2009, is a major command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. AFGSC is responsible for the nation’s three intercontinental ballistic missile wings, two B-52 wings and the only B-2 wing. Its mission is to develop and provide combat-ready forces for nuclear deterrence and global strike operations – safe, secure, effective – to support the President of the United States and Combatant Commanders.
