Off-road vehicle requirements
The Air Force requires all operators of off-road motorcycles, three-wheelers and ATVs to successfully complete safety training before operating their vehicles on a military installation.
That means anyone who wants to ride those vehicles in an off-road vehicle area at Edwards must be able to show proof of the successful completion of training from groups such as the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America or the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
If there are costs to complete this training, they must be paid by the person completing the training.
The following link will provide the required training through the SVIA online at no cost – www.atvsafety.org.
