U.S. Air Force Concert Band, Singing Sergeants to appear in Bakersfield

Join the 412th Test Wing leadership at the performance of the U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants in Bakersfield, Calf., Oct. 16 at the Bakersfield High School’s Harvey Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Brig. Gen. Michael Brewer, 412th Test Wing commander, and 412th TW vice commander, Col. Daniel Daetz, and Chief Master Sgt. Brian Randolph, 412th TW command chief, will be in attendance to hear the Air Force’s largest musical ensemble and its official chorus.

The U.S. Air Force Concert Band is a world-class symphonic wind ensemble that presents over 100 concerts annually and performs a wide variety of repertoire from light classics, popular favorites and instrumental features, to classical transcriptions and original works for the band idiom. The Singing Sergeants, the official chorus of the United States Air Force, is one of the worldsĂ most versatile and traveled choral organizations. Originally formed in 1945 from within the ranks of The United States Air Force Band, the chorus is now composed entirely of professional vocalists who have come from leading colleges, universities and music conservatories throughout the world; and who are all sergeants in the United States Air Force.
