A Letter to the Team

Team

I’m sure everyone is looking forward to the upcoming 3-day weekend. The
long weekend provides us a great opportunity to relax, enjoy ourselves,
spend some time with family, and recharge our batteries. I actually plan to
do all of those myself, and I hope you and yours get the opportunity to do
something fun.

While I am all for the fun part, I hope you will pause and remember the
reason for the 3-day weekend.

11 November is Veterans Day

Please, remember the freedoms we enjoy and often take for granted are not
free. Those freedoms have been earned, are earned and will continue to be
earned through the service and sacrifice of countless dedicated men and
women through military service in times of war and peace.

I ask and encourage you to make an opportunity to thank those Veterans
around you. While they most definitely deserve your appreciation and should
be thanked, please don’t limit your outreach to those now serving. We
cannot forget those that served before. They established a standard and
tradition of excellence that we who serve today strive to emulate. Give
those more seasoned Veterans a word or note of appreciation and let them
know their service is not forgotten.

So, enjoy the weekend, be safe, and thank a Veteran!!!

Thank each and every one of you for what you do each and every day to make
the AFTC Team successful.

Arnie
