New Parent Support Program A free service for your growing family!

412th Medical Group

The New Parent Support Program provides education and support for active duty and retired military families who are either expecting a baby or who have a child under the age of three.

This program is for all parents, not just new parents, as pregnancies, babies and circumstances can be very different from one family to another.

Accordingly, the NPSP nurse is available to come to your home and tailor visits to your family’s individual needs.

The nurse addresses various topics including pregnancy, labor and delivery, infant care, breast-feeding, growth and development, infant cues and communication, parenting, relationships, relaxation, and meditation.

The NPSP nurse is certified in prenatal and perinatal psychology and is highly skilled in working with families to enhance their ability to nurture and bond with their baby before and after birth.

The NPSP nurse can also provide information regarding various resources including counseling, money management, and resources for families within the local area. The New Parent Support Program is an incredible service which can ultimately create stronger connections within the family.

For more information or to enroll in the program, call Norella Hobby at (661) 277-5292.
