412th Test Wing commander

To the Men and Women of Team Edwards,
As we all know the holidays are upon us and I will take this opportunity to say, that no commander could be more proud or more grateful, than I am, for the myriad of remarkable things you have done this past year. Whether it is being the foundation of success for our nation’s most critical test programs or the exceptional customer service we receive in our support mission from medical to finance, personnel and services, each one of you has performed with utmost excellence, an unbeatable team in every possible aspect. You truly prove each day that Edwards Air Force Base is indeed, “home of the right stuff.”

Now with the magic of the season upon us, I hope that each of you will take time to use some well-earned leave, be with friends and family, and use this time to recharge, relax and reinvigorate yourself. This has been a busy year. We are making great progress towards full operational capability of the 5-Center construct and the wing merger has gone better than expected all thanks to your amazing efforts.

I encourage you to take time this holiday season to reflect on how very fortunate each of us truly are. As we enjoy this holiday season, our hearts go out to those impacted by hurricane Sandy and the Newton Connecticut tragedy. Hold your family a little closer this year as we have so much to be truly thankful for.

If you are feeling lonely or overwhelmed, remember your wingman. Be there for one another to help make this holiday season truly joyful and memorable.

As we approach the New Year, we will face the challenge of the Consolidated Unit Inspection. A challenge I am confident we will meet hands down. I truly appreciate the effort each and every one of you makes to ensure we are inspection ready every day.

In closing, let me wish each one of you and your family, the happiest of the holiday season. Be safe!
