Indian test pilot students land at Edwards

The senior class from India’s Test Pilot School pose for a photo in front of the YF-22 at the Air Force Flight Test Museum. The YF-22 was the prototype built that would later lead to the development of the F-22 Raptor.

Some test pilot students traveled more than 8,000 miles to come visit the capital of flight test May 9.

Seventeen members of the Indian Air Force Test Pilot School’s senior class got to see the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, the Air Force Flight Test Museum and the Benefield Anechoic Facility. The visit is part of the Indian TPS’s senior trip where they get to travel to many test facilities around the world.
