Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger, Air Force Materiel Command commander, visited Edwards AFB Aug. 21 to 23. Wolfenbarger flew in to receive briefings on ongoing test programs here and to officiate Air Force Test Center Commander Maj. Gen. Arnold W. Bunch Jr.’s promotion ceremony Aug. 23. Before that she toured several Edwards AFB facilities, which included the 419th Flight Test Squadron, 418th FLTS, Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force, 412th Maintenance Group, Ridley Mission Control Center, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and the 412th Electronic Warfare Group’s†Benefield Anechoic Facility.†Towards the end of the day Aug. 22†she visited†with the 412th Security Forces Squadron where she met with the defenders and viewed displays of SFS equipment along with a briefing on Explosive Ordnance Disposal gear. The general received†an up close look†at Edwards AFB’s Base Support Emergency Response Vehicle, or BSERV. The vehicle is the 412th Civil Engineering Division’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit’s primary emergency response vehicle.

Wolfenbarger departed the High Desert Aug. 23 following Bunch’s promotion ceremony.
