Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community

– Last week our country remembered the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and the death of four young girls. At their funeral, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. offered a thought provoking perspective when he stated: “God still has a way of wringing good out of evil” and “history has proven over and over again that unmerited suffering is redemptive.”

Through our prayers — an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community

– Ask God to show you how you can have that same perspective on evil and suffering.
