November’s ‘Move the Food Event’

The Edwards Air Force Base Chapel is sponsoring a Move the Food Event Nov. 2.

The food giveaway will be Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the food is gone.

The event will be held in the Chapel 1 Annex.

The chapel will hand out†one†bag of food per family of four to anyone who shows up. If you or someone you know has been especially affected by the furloughs, government shut down, or recession, please stop by.

The event is open to all military, DOD civilians, and DOD contractors.

If you would like to supply food for this effort, the list of items below is what†the†chapel†needs most. Your donations can be dropped off at the Chapel 2 main office during regular duty hours.

Items needed most:

  • Cans of Corn
  • Cans of Green Beans
  • Cans of Mixed Vegetables
  • Cans of Chili Pasta
  • Cans of Fruit
  • Canned Meat
  • Muffin Mixes
  • Rice
  • Canned Beans
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Spaghetti ‘O’S
  • Ramen Noodles
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Dry Cereal
  • Baby Formula/food
  • Dry Milk
  • Canned Soups
  • Diapers
  • Toilet Paper
  • Feminine Hygiene products
