Military tuition assistance

Effective immediately, all Military Tuition Assistance applications for courses starting on or after Oct. 17 may be submitted in AFAEMS.

All previously approved MilTA requests for courses which began on or after Oct. 17 are reinstated and an e-mail is being sent to those students stating such.

Base Library

The Edwards AFB Library has resumed their normal operations effective Oct. 21. The library hours are:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Museum closed

The Air Force Flight Test Museum will be closed to the public Oct. 26 in order to host a special event. The Museum annex at Blackbird Air Park in Palmdale, Calif., will be open regular hours; Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Military appreciation night

On behalf of the principal of Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif., and the CA-944 Air Force JROTC, military personnel from Edwards AFB are invited for Military Appreciation Night and Senior Recognition at the final home football game of the season Nov. 1.†Highland High School would like to make it a memorable game for the seniors and their families and wants to recognize the sacrifices of military members and their families as Veteran’s Day nears. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. with the national anthem and a parade with color guard teams and AFJROTC cadets. Military personnel with a valid ID card will be allowed free entrance to the game versus Eastside High School.†Seating will be set aside for military personnel and their families. Highland would also like to welcome home any recently deployed service memberd. Highland High School is located at 39055 25th Street West, Palmdale, Calif. Our football stadium is located just west of the 25th Street West/Ave. P-8 intersection – parking is free next to the stadium (entrance on P-8).
