Wingman day

Norberto “Norbie” Lara, a wounded warrior who takes his inspiring story around the country as a spokesman for Warriors Speak, will speak Nov. 4 at the Base Theater as part of Team Edwards’ Wingman Day activities.

As part of the events to be held on Wingman Day, Nov. 4, Norberto “Norbie” Lara, from the Wounded Warrior Project, will speak about resilience and life challenges at the Base Theater from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Streaming of the event will also be available at the Airman and Family Readiness Center and in select units.

Jen Housholder of Hous Band will follow Lara in support of Wingman Day at the Base Theater from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

Additionally, there will be information available about Healing Horses and Armed Forces, a non-profit organization which specializes in equine-assisted solutions and helping veterans, service members and their families.

At the unit level, commanders and directors will discuss Culture of Respect and Resilience, wingman intervention, health and welfare inspections and having a professional environment.

Talk to your wingman representative for the nearest location where streaming of the events will be available to you.
