Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community
– As many have noted, relationships are messy because communicating clearly and effectively is so difficult. This is especially true when differences arise. Is there a right way to disagree with another person? “People who build real and loving unity do not fight to be right, they fight for what is right. If I am always fighting to be right, then I don’t really care what is right. Instead, what I really care about is being in control” (pastor and speaker Paul Tripp).
Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community
– Pray for God’s guidance that you may know the difference between fighting to be right verses fighting for what is right.
