Gaining Altitude – Growth Opportunities for the Week Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community

- Take time to reflect on this quote from pastor and speaker Paul Tripp. “When I was a child I overheard a drunken man saying perverse things about the women around him. Later my mother said to me, ‘There is nothing that comes out of the mouth of a drunk that wasn’t there in the first place.’ Her point was that the alcohol did not cause that man to say those evil things. He was thinking perverse things in his heart while he was sober. The alcohol loosened his lips and out came his heart!”  So what is in your heart in the first place?

Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community

- Ask God to help you work on your heart before it is revealed in troubling ways.
