Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community
- Fear can cripple us and cause us to miss out on important events in life. But fear (or a sense of awe) can also be beneficial. One author stated it this way, “When we go to places like Glacier Point (in Yosemite), we find ourselves attracted to the very thing that makes us afraid. And rather than running from it, we want to get closer.” Perhaps this can help us gain a new perspective on what it means to fear the Lord, so that we do not shy away but instead draw closer.
Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community
- Ask God to help you understand your fears and draw nearer to him.
