Road, West Gate closures March 1

Various road closures will occur in order to support the movement of an aircraft trailer from South Base through the West Gate March 1. The locations where traffic is stopped will reopen once the convoy has passed. †Note the locations and times (times are approximate) and plan accordingly for delays and closures.

10 a.m. – Convoy at South Base on Jones Road
10:20 a.m. – Convoy enters intersection of Jones Road and Lancaster Blvd. †Traffic will be stopped for approximately 5 minutes
10:35 a.m. – Convoy arrives at the intersection of Lancaster Blvd. & Rosamond Blvd. †Traffic will be stopped for approximately 5 minutes
11 a.m. – Convoy arrives at the West Gate. †The West Gate will be closed for approximately 20-30 minutes
11:30 a.m. – West Gate reopens to traffic and convoy continues westbound on Rosamond Blvd.
11:40 a.m. – Convoy reaches “West Wall” and traffic will be stopped for approximately 5 minutes
