Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community

- Have you ever heard of the fruit of the Spirit?  It is found in the New Testament and states, “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”  Are these virtues automatic or easy?  The answer is found in the last item of the fruit: self-control.  If the fruit is automatic, then why is self-control listed? It is ironic that the author Paul mentions this trait last, affirming that the very highest of virtues comes about partly through hard work and practice.   

Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community

- Ask God to show you why self-control is important in your relationship with Him.
