Passport Season is near

Springtime is coming, and in a just a few months the Special Issuance Agency will be filled to the brim with passport and visa applications.†Spring and summer always bring a formidable work load and travelers are encouraged to have their travel documents well in advance of any trip. In order to beat the oncoming rush, and allow adequate processing time, completed No Fee Government passport and visa applications should be completed and sent in as soon as the travel need is identified. If anyone in your organization has a looming spring or summer travel date, send them to your facilities’ Passport Agent office to begin processing their “No Fee Government Passport” application now. Applying early is the safest and easiest way to avoid delays! Appointments are made in advance of turning in No Fee Passport applications.

For more information, call (661) 277-2276.

Volunteers needed

Retiree Appreciation Day is just around the corner and Team Edwards needs your help to make this another successful event! Set-up for RAD will begin at 9 a.m., May 2 at the Oasis Community Center and go until completion. The main event will be 6:45 a.m.-noon, May 3 for all volunteers.

On this day volunteers are needed for parking, escorts, disc jockeying, and helping retirees and vendors in any way. Afterwards a tear-down crew will be needed to get all of the equipment back in its proper place. This event is Edwards AFB’s opportunity to support all those who have served and will not be a great success without a team effort! If you are interested in helping out, contact Staff Sgt. Brandon Harris at (661) 277-9439 or email brandon.harris.19@us.af.mil.
