Gaining Altitude – Growth Opportunities for the Week

Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community

- What is it about patience that we love in others but hate for ourselves? Maybe because we know it is a discipline that is greatly admired but rarely practiced. Whether it is at the checkout line at the store or waiting for a child to tie a shoe, we hate to wait. Some have learned the secret of waiting-the ability to understand the big picture. When you develop the skill to step back and gain perspective, then patience becomes a natural by-product. So it is grasping the ability to understand the “why” of waiting that matters most.

Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community – Ask God to help you step back so that you may see why you should be┬ápatient.
