Gaining Altitude – Growth Opportunities for the Week

Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community

- We all have our “idols”.  Although most of us don’t possess tiny figurines, we do track the whereabouts of famous people and read every piece of juicy gossip about their lives. We also think and dream about owning the latest fashion item or hottest new “toy.” One professor said it this way, “what you revere you resemble, either for ruin or restoration”. The issue is not if you revere (admire, respect, look up to) something, but what that something is. And that something will be either a blessing or curse in your life so choose wisely.

Through our prayers – an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community – Ask God to help you step back so that you may see why you should be patient.

- Pray for wisdom that you may see what you honestly “revere.”
