During the tour, two groups of honorary commanders were divided in order to visit two different maintenance sections. Both groups were able to visit Hangar 1600 in order to witness the “Backshop Experience,” which included a tour of the Composites shop, the Sheet Metal shop, the Machine shop, and the T-38 Phase shop.

After the “Backshop Experience,” the group went through the “Instrumentation Experience,” which included a T-38 modification overview, a review of the F-16 data acquisition process, an F-22 Model simulation and flight control movement experience and the PC Fabrication Lab.

After Hangar 1600, the group encountered the “Flight line Experience,” which included an introduction to flightline aircraft maintenance, pre-flight training and avionics-flight control checks on headset, an introduction of weapons standardization, a weapons loading demonstration on an F-16, a bomb wiring demonstration and a tour of a weapons ordnance display.
