Gaining Altitude — Growth Opportunities for the Week

Chaplain (Maj.) Jason Knudeson
412th TW chaplain

Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community
This week we remembered the work of a great leader of people, a man who challenged our nation and world to view with respect those who may be different than we.  Half a century has come and gone since the days of Doctor King’s ministry, and recent history may make us wonder whether his dream will ever be a reality.  In spite of the actions of some in our society, we must never give up the dream that hope and compassion will overcome fear and hate.

Through our prayers — an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community
– Bless us with hope, eternal Creator, to see our neighbors with your eyes and thus to love them as we do ourselves.  Amen.
