Gaining Altitude — Growth Opportunities for the Week

Listening is such a precious gift. Do you know that the good Lord loves to listen? The famous comedienne Lily Tomlin said, “Why is it that when we talk to God we are said to be praying, and when God talks to us we are said to be schizophrenic?” Prayer is designed to be a two-way conversation. We trust that God listens as we pour out our hearts. Let’s get a little crazy and try listening to God.

Your ear, loving God, is not deaf. In fact you want us to cry out to you. Help us also to take the time to listen. You might just have something important to say to us. Amen.
