General Myer School

Mrs. Johnston’s third grade class is tackling two- and three- digit division and multiplication and doing an awesome job!! In science they are learning about technology and how it helps scientists.

The class won a pizza party for bringing in the most phone books (as part of a city-wide schools contest for recycling), thanks to Trae McCaa’s grandma who is a volunteer with the Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce.

Jenna Lathrop, 14, orders her lunch in Spanish at Filiberto’s [Mexican] Restaurant in Sierra Vista on March 13. Rosa Ward’s Spanish class from Colonel Smith Middle School traveled to the restaurant, where each student ordered their own meal in Spanish, showing what they learned in class. Students were required to order in Spanish, use their manners and show an appreciation for the food and the language.
